Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
1. Beta Access
Lona is currently in private beta. Access is granted at the sole discretion of the Lona team. We reserve the right to revoke access if the tool is being used in a manner that violates our community standards.
2. Two Ways to Run Lona
Community Edition is free and self-hosted — you run Lona on your own infrastructure with your own accounts, and Texsenss has no involvement in your data or your instance. Managed Hosting means Texsenss operates your instance for you; see our Privacy Policy for exactly what that involves.
3. User Responsibility
You are responsible for the Notion workspace, Google Calendar account, and AI provider key you connect to Lona. We recommend maintaining your own backups, as Lona is a processing layer and not the primary storage provider for your data.
4. Payments
The Community Edition is free, self-hosted, and requires no payment to us. Managed plans (BYO Key, $9/month, and Shared Key, $19/month) are monthly subscriptions, billed in advance and cancelable anytime; fees already paid for the current billing period are non-refundable once the account is provisioned.
5. Fair Use
The Shared Key plan is metered against a fair-use monthly cap to keep the service sustainable for everyone. If your usage consistently exceeds typical personal use, we may ask you to switch to the BYO Key plan.
6. Limitations
Lona is an AI-powered tool. While we strive for high accuracy in classification, extraction, and transcription, we are not liable for any data loss or misclassification occurring in your connected third-party services (Notion, Google Calendar, or your AI provider). Lona is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as Lona's features and plans change. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
